Living on the West Coast of Canada with her husband and three children, Mara spends her free time writing and doodling; which is what she calls her art. She is always willing to try something new and has dabbled in various genres and styles. From Inking to digital renders, she is always working on something. She had been commended on her art by many authors and is currently contracting with Plaisted Publishing House for custom projects. 

 

  A note from Mara...

  "I don't like to think of myself as a professional, just an artist with a passion for creating. I am self-taught and always ready to take on a challenge. I began doodling on walls at the age of three, and traded in my crayons for a simple pen and restaurant napkins, leaving gardenscapes for the waitress' to discover. From there, I found pencil crayons, pastels, clay, oil paints and more. Now, I doodle with a digital stylus, but a good old pencil and eraser work just as good! I am always creating something, if I stop, I fear my head might just explode."

  Mara has been working with Indie Authors for a few years now, offering her services for everything from book teasers and banners, to full-color, interior illustrations and book trailers for her clients. Some of these projects have even won her a few awards...
